Hmmmm.. 4th service (assuming 4 years)
As well as oil & filters, they should be replacing brake fluid every 2 years, and it's probably due a cambelt change too. But I'd bet they haven't included those in the price...
Is that at a dealer on an independent?
its from a main dealer paul, know i could get it cheaper though, ive rang round a few places this after and cheapest is £170 from a main dealer near me, which i dont think is too bad, no mention of cam belt though! its a 2005 v6 cdti and i dont know when its due, anyone know when the cambelt should be done? thanks tony.
Cam belt is recommended every 80k IIRC, but IMO you'd be mad to wait that long. General opinion seems to be 40k or 4 years, and replace waterpump while the engine's in bits.... and cambelt failure is a big issue, it's not worth putting off.
I'd check whether they're including brake fluid change in that price - they should be, I can't think what else they'd be doing on a major service.
you have to pay for the brake fluid separate
Pollen filter (every 2 years)
Brake Fluid (every 2 years)
Battery for remote key
Break out ur service history booklet its all in there
....i only these 3 as these are the 3 that The VX dealer didnt do on its 4th service!!!
