Vectra c facelift?

Hi

I am taking delivery of a Vectra C on Thursday and am trying to get my head around which is which model.

Am I correct in thinking that the Vectra C came out in 02 /03 and the C facelift came out in 05

or is it the C came out in 2005 and the facelift a bit later?

Also what exactly is a Signum? Is it a posh Vectra or a completely different model?

Sorry but I have been used to MGR and Fords but thought I would try something different this time

The Signum is a more roomy Vectra C, not really posh, although maybe more soundproofing etc. Its built on the Estate wheel base I believe.

The Vec C changed in 2005, but some still have the old shape at the front. You can tell the difference between a pre 2005 by the stereo and steering wheel controls. (Buttons or wheels) Which is either full canbus (Wheels) or half canbus (Buttons). The front changed in 2005 like you said, mines a 2004 but I changed the front as I preferred the look.

not 100% true as the signum came out before the estate by a year,so the estate uses the signum floor pan but with a longer rear overhang

also to clarify things,the vectra c came out for the 2002 model year,and is half canbus,the vectra went full canbus for the 2005 model year (came out late 2004),the vectra was facelifted for the 2006 model year (came out late 2005).
the signum is seperate model and is classed as a lifestyle estate

that would be an early 06 model as the 06 model would have come out in october 05

Generally a 55 plate is going to be a facelift, although there are 06 pre-facelifts knocking around iirc.
