    Question MOT due... No car...

My MOT is due at the beginning of March, about 4 weeks away. My car is currently parked on the bodyshop carpark, waiting for an insurance inspector to bother turning up.

Since its been nearly 3 weeks now and the other insurers haven't even acknowledged my insurers' request for an inspection, I'm not holding out much hope of having the car back in time.

Where do I stand? Do I have to wait until the car's ready, then book an MOT and drive straight from the bodyshop to the MOT place?

I believe you are ok as long as you take it straight from the bodyshp to get it MOT'd, the only thing you cannot do is for example get your car on the monday, MOT booked for the thursday and use it in between, hope that makes sense

Yeah... £80 a day hire car that I've had for nearly 3 weeks now... That's £1600 on the claim and they haven't even looked at mine yet!
