    Default Plasma or lcd?....

    confused now your opinions please????????????????? was put off by plasmas as people sais they didnt last but now im being told different. which should i get?

    If you want anything 42" or bigger then plasma is the way to go but make sure you run it in properly for the first 200 hours or so, LCD is fine up to 37" but personally even the latest ones with very fast refresh show motion blur to me.

    I have both a 42" plasma in the lounge and a 32" LCD in the bedroom and much prefer the quality of picture on the plasma.

    There is also a huge difference between the cheaper LCD's that you can get in ASDA/Aldi etc. and the high end manufacturers such as Panasonic, Sony and Pioneer althouth I think Sony is overpriced.

    LCD is the way to go. Plasma's get too hot and use ALOT more power.

    I have a 50inch plasma and must say OMG its unreal and i have a 32inch LCD colours are a bit more vivid with lcd but the blacks and dark scenes are a lot better on the plasma.At the end of the day it depends what you want it for

    it would have to be hd ready, whats this about plasmas.... only being able to see the picture from certain angles?

    My Plasma doesn't get very hot, but it does suffer from Burn in from the Sky+ pause icon and some 360 games...
