    Default Cost Cutting?

    I have just got a 08 Design having traded in my pre-facelift LS. The Design is very nice - far better equipped than the LS but I'm beginning to notice some differences - is it cost-cutting? No coin box under the light switch, no lining to the RH cubby in the boot, no hydraulic bonnet stays and no dip stick on the screenwash. I'm sure I'll find more as I've only had the car a few days. Has any one else noticed this or am I just being picky?? Does anyone else know of any other things "left off" the new models?

    Im sure the newer models are less equipped mate I know the Pre facelift SRI has more stuff than the Facelift SRI so its probably the same for other models to Vauxhall cutting costs it seems

    Even though the Design is still more equipped than the SRI minus the Sporty look and suspension

    you wont need the dipstick on the screenwash, it tells you on the dash display once it gets low
    does on my 06 design anyway

    Its not just the facelift, Im certain its most of the Vec-C's from 2004 onwards.

    On my 54-SRI CDTI I notice loads of things missing when compared to other's, some are:
    - No auto wiper's;
    - No chrome window strips;
    - No lining to the RH cubby in the boot;
    - I have never had the coin tray by the light switch on any of the Vec-C's;
    - No auto dim -RVM;
    - Open top drinks holder (under the handbrake)-normally has like a shutter flap!

    So yes, IMHO Vx have been cost cutting!

    My dad had an 04-SRI CDTI 150 before the facelift and we did notice loads of difference's, main thing was when we first opened the bonnet and nearly let go hoping that it was going to keep itself up!!

    Bye bye Vec B
    - Hello Siggy!
