Statistically you will lose out with a warranty, as the warranty will look at the average costs to repair your model of car, then add on operating costs and then profit for the warranty company, therefore statistically you will be out of pocket than if you just put the same amount in a bank account, any excess can be spent at the end of the year on something, or you could have to top it up - it all depends on your individual car. If you can do the repairs yourself, then it makes even less sense to buy a third party warranty, especially with all their exclusions.

I don't buy warranties, and never have.

If this is the network Q thingy then hell yes.

It covers everything! Even brakes and clutch. 4 Months after having the VXR the clutch gave out. Everyone and I mean everyone, incuding the dealers them selves were telling me that I'd have to pay. I looked through the little book and WHAM! free clutch

The car was in warranty at the time, but when the original owner bought it from new he took out a 2 year cover plan that transferes to new owners. Thank god he did

    Shame it run out now

When I purchased my car it had a ‘Network Q’ warranty with it now transferred & good until September. The previous owner had the recent fuel related components replaced no charge. Bearing in mind this is a four year old plus car & the cost of say an alternator or more expensive part i.e. gearbox clutch & me not going to do my own servicing it requires little thought as to is usefulness.

With this in mind I contacted Network Q only yesterday for an up to date costing £399.00 I also asked the same of Motoreasy & am awaiting information in the post. As a member of the AA I see they also offer a similar package.
