    Default polished alloys

ive just bought some polished steel alloys which are gonna be fitted tomorrow with my tinted windows, anyway, the guy in the shop said that polished wheels succum to road salt and muck and start to damage the wheels in a very short space of time (ie. 4 months).
has anyone with these types of finish on theyre alloys suffered this??
im still getting them as they were £600 for 4 18" with tyres

I would imagine that if they become damaged by the elements within 4 months of buying them then you would have a good case under the trades descriptions act of them not being suitable for the use that they were intended!!! If that was the case they should be sold as 'Show wheels'... thats my logic anyway!!

    £600 !!!...don't blame you mate..what a cracking price!

Mine are knackered mate, i would get normal silver as you'll deffo be getting the chrome effect / polished ones refurbed sooner than you think.

    METALLICA!!! Sad but true.

Mate had some on his Laguna and they did pitt very quickly, all I can recommend you do is Autosol them at least once a week and dont allow brake dust to harden on them at all, i.e a wash and rinse every two days.

When i had polished alloys the first thing that i did after collecting them was bury them in 2pack laquer.. A bit of a trade off but it protected the shine better than any polish would do and an awful lot less effort..just a wipe with a sponge whenever the car got a clean..
