First of all many thanks for the happy birthday message but I'm afraid to say that I traded my 04 SRi Edition 100 in on the very same day. I must say that she's been an annoying piece of s**t at times but overall a very nice motor indeed. Just added a MIJ exhaust new brakes up front then saw a deal from SAAB that I couldn't refuse. Looked under the bonnet and it appears I'e bought the veccy's cousin only in diesel form. Just like to take this opportunity to say a big thanks to all involved in running Vectra c and all the members who have given valuable help and ideas when needed. All the best in the future.

Hope you don't get the same probs as you did in a vec mate, i have a friend who had the "cousin", he was of the same opinion as you are with the vec, wished he'd bought the Vec!!

At least your still in the same "group" though!!

God I'm starting to get teary eyed. Lifted the bonnet and all the parts are exactly the same in the same location. Main difference is a massive plastic cover for the engine. New car is 57 plate 1.9TiD Vector Sport (150)(08 model) in metallic grey. Getting old now or so she keeps telling me ( when I listen) so i need something a little more sedate. Whilst waiting for salesman, I looked around a beautiful white VXR8, Nissan Skyline (trade in) and the SAAB X pack estate.If only the budget stretched that far. Also seen three Monaro's all around £12000 to £13000.
