Clunk from O/S/F when going over pot hole??

Hi Guys,

My wife was driving to work in our Signum 1.9cdti 54 reg and going up our road she heard a loud bang from the front of the car, she thought she had driven over something in the road so stoped the car had a look but nothing, she carried on driving to work and now the car is making a clonking noise from the O/S/F wheel area everytime you drive over a small pot hole, But when you are driving real slow say around a car park and it a pot hole it's hardly noticeable.

What do you think it is???

PS the car still seems to drive ok apart from the above?

could be a broken spring i had one go on my signum and had them replaced under warranty and i know someone else who has had to have the front springs replaced under warranty too

puch the effected corner of the car up and down,it should go up/down.If it doesn't move and is solid you prob broke something going over pot holeCompare the other corner of the car and see how the suspension is, i done this once in a comp carHad to be fixed cause kept making loud bang when going over bumps in the road
