Sold the Veccy today

Sold the old veccy today for £6700

not too bad as it did need two new tyres.

Don't think I will buy another, crackin cars but the depreciation is a killer. Vauxhall have done us no favours by selling new ones so cheap to get rid of stock. A Skoda dealer woudnt even give me a px price against a VRS as in his words "it will scare you".

oil burners are holding the price a little better than the petrols but then to own one you are expecting a major repair bill soon.

Forum is great though and will keep up to date with the banter.

In todays financial uncertaintity it appears like a good price. What made you sell the car?

I had a mk 1 Octavia VRS once, think I will save a bit and get a mk 2 VRS.

pity about that, and yes they are worth just about f-all.....espacialy the pre-facelift...

To be honest I didn't like the diesel after the 2.0t petrol, change of work location to only a 5 mile trip each way means economy is not such an issue anymore, I mean it takes the diesel that distance to even get warm.

As for selling now, prices will just drop & drop especially when the insignia starts hitting the used car market so sooner rather than later.

Price was good as it was an 07 XP but had 49K on the clock
