    Vehicle : Vauxhall

    Trim : very

    Engine : Z19DTH

    Year : Nosey

    Default 1.9CDTI @ 204.8bhp

I may have had to put my box in aswell as the half effort remap from 888 but I'm now over 200bhp!!!

    What's more, I hit max torque of 340lbft @ 2500rpm and max power of 204.8bhp @ 4900rpm.

Now if I can just get 888 to do the job right I won't need the box any more!

It would be better without the box; I haven't seen the fuel computer accurate for so long I almost stoped using it, now it's spot on (without the box).

With over 280lbft at the road wheel though, I may get through some tyres...

Said they would have a look at the map and get back to me... not impressed.

They don't seem to care much anymore and they seem to have a very limited knowledge of what they are doing.

    Still, hope springs eternal!

mmmm, a touring car race team with the backing of some of the most highly respected tuning minds in the uk and they do not know what they are doing.....OK

My cousin has just had his Astra done by 888, (1.9 150). After the map, off to a rolling road and the result was 197.8bhp and 327lb/ft.

Excellent service, no hassle and a big smile.

Gents, how the heck does a 1.9 D get that amount of HP. I like the 1.9 as my bro in-law has one and I would have got one if possible but what exactly have you people had done.

Your torque must steer you all over the road under load.

What is the 3.0 able to do when 888ed?

The 1.9 engine is a well over engineered unit and in 150bhp form is not really being pushed.

The re-map changes fueling and air perameters which in turn increase's power and torque.

This is much simpler to acheive than re-mapping a petrol car. Courtenays website I beleive goes into it a little deeper on the info front.

Sorry people but I have been a saint about this up to press but I can take no more.

They broke it, took them a week to fix, won't return calls, don't know enough about the stuff to fix problems.

They just plug it in and down load the map (that someone abroad has writen) into the ECU. If all goes well they don't need to know anymore than a call centre bod.

The 888 has styling and mechanical upgrades but the power all comes from the remap which 888 don't write, they just use one they had writen for them.

I have the graphs to prove what I am saying and a hole in my pocket from insuring their car plus paying for the trips (140 miles!) and the rollers.

Good mechanics they may be but software engineers they are not.
