Default Advice on new battery please??

i wonder if you fine folk could help me??
I woke up to a flat battery this morning
Not really a problem as i have "a spare"
Been looking around on the web,
One in National "varta" silver is £60 the blue one is £50,,
    Halfrauds Lmao!!

Mine has been on charge all day & looking grim, as the green light isn't showing so thinking time to get a new one, I can't complain as it looks original
My spare one, is off my Call 2.5 V6 which is currently off road waiting a bit of work, but noticed that the AH is 50(ah) where as the vec is 55(ah)
My vec is only a 1.8 Ls so wondered why the calli's needs "less" being a larger engine??

I was wondering, is the dealers batteries as cheap, or would these Varta batteries be any good, as they do have a loong warranty on them??

Thanks in advance for any help!

I think the dealer batteries are AC Delco or used to be and they are a superb battery. Its worth a look at the dealers as somtimes OE equipment is cheaper than aftermarket

I've also heard that the 'Go' range of batteries are rebranded AC Delco batteries. If it were me, this is the battery I would buy. 3yr warranty, and relatively cheap.

I remember reading somewhere in Vauxhall's technical manuals for the Vec-C/Signum that sometimes a good battery will not have the green light showing even after it's charged, but that the light may reappear after the battery's been fitted and the car used....so if your green light disappeared for a while it may still be ok.
