Default Crap! MOT out of date!

Just realised that my MOT expired on the 9th so I have a bit of a problem...

Going to try desperatly to find somewhere which will do it on the spot on a Sunday (unlikely)...

Got to drive to work on Monday morning which is a bit of a pain as it's 200 miles away (currently staying with my girlfriend in Yorkshire) so there aren't really any alternatives.

Anyone got any ideas for me?

Alternatively, anyone know where I can get an MOT in or around Hull on Sunday without pre-booking?

I dunno about anywhere in hull, but you can book it in nearer "home" on monday am, then you're able to drive it legally!

Can't get a day off Monday, been trying to get one anyway! If I don't show now, they're never going to believe my excuse about the MOT...

its too late for worrying now. if you passed any anpr camera's they would of already got you, so i would'nt worry about it.

I always but the date on the calendar on my phone, my memory is crap

Just remember no MOT will flag Anpr if you pass one. Also it invalidates your insurance so should the worst happen you insurer can refuse to pay out.

I guess you already knew that though, but a 200 mile drive in a car without a valid MOT well its your call..............................

EDIT** or as mentioned your legally allowed to drive to pre-booked MOT test

I wouldn't chance it. Think I would either ring in sick or book a day off.

I'm not going to chance it.

Didn't know I could get caught by a camera... would that mean an automatic fine?

If they really gave a toss about road safety, they'd send out reminder letters like they do for the tax.

You sure? Obviously you need a valid MOT certificate to get a tax disc, but I didn't think it had anything to do with making insurance valid, or invalidating it.

You do get a sticker to put on windscreen at time of issure with the date printed on it.
