Thumbs up More HIDs fitted and discount available

Finally got round to purchasing HID kit.

Chose This one from J A M Performance on ebay. £60 and £13 delivery (next day UPS signed for.)

Having been assured it would work out of the box - took delivery of this.

Included two warning cancellors, brackets, bulb hoilders, nuts and bolts, cable ties... Impressed so far.

    So here's the standard lights

Headlamps removed (for ease of install!) all wired up and ready to go back in

Offside (drivers) ballast wedged between frame and front wing...

Nearside attached to space in the battery tray

With only the tail of the bolt visible...

Bolt the headlamps back in, stick the bumper back (i'd only loosened off the top edge to get the headlamps out... Switch on and

    WOW!!!!!

Fitted m-tec sidelight bulbs while i was there. Pretty impressed. No warnings, no flickering or strobing. No issues at all... Perfect first time - exactly what i was hoping for!

Should anyone else wish to try these out, the guys could not have been more helpful.

the biggest ache is getting the headlamps out... (dropping bumper etc) Once that's done, the bulbs and wiring are a piece of cake.. There's only one way it can all plug together, and as the VX plug plugs into the headlamp unit rather than the bulb holder, you can't get it wrong (seriously!)

The driver's side ballast can only really go in one place due to the monster air-box and A/C pipes in there... The passenger side can go anywhere, i just hid it under the battery cover for convenience.

I was more worried about OBC errors, flickering etc, and on my 04 plate have had no issues at all. Very very impressed, especialy at half the hids direct vectra c price...

I can't believe i am excited about it getting dark.....!

6000k... i'm no expert, but it seemed that any higher than that and the lights start to get too blue/purple and less efficient...?

    holy cr4p!!
@Rich - seriously, for £68 delivered, you can't go far wrong... Especially as the cancellers, bulb holders etc were all thrown in.

(i'm not on commission, just seriously impressed after so many disappointments and horror stories on here!) Honest!
