Excellent engine, well proven in the Saab range.

But economy combined driving with gentle and givin' it a birra stick mode don't expect anymore than 25mpg.

You could get a 1.9 CDTi for that price 150bhp.... Just!

Good engine and a nice colour too. I have a Signum 2.0T in black and love it. Theres is also plenty of scope for tuning it as well. I'm sure ppl will be along later to give you more details . power is good (my previous motor was an MG ZT 190+, and it is as good if not better). doing fairly standard driving on A roads I clock up an average of 30 mpg. hope that helps

You mean that the 2.0T is quicker ?!

The prob. with a smaller engine in a fairly large
car is that you will have to push it ...
and then the mpg goes down.

I average around 30 mpg in mormal running, even though the engine is adictive if you really like standing on the load pedal. Get a better mpg on a long drive when crusing along, tend to use cruise control for this as I read in a magazine once this can improve your fuel consumption as it stays at constant speed better than you can.
