    Thumbs up Cruise Control

    Hi all,

I am having some trouble with my Cruise Control on a 54 Vectra CDTI SRI. I have replaced the clutch pedal spring and the indicator stalk (Both brand new parts) but it is still intermittent. This morning driving to work it engaged for 5 mins then just disengaged. When i tried to use it again it kept switching off straight away.

On my way home from work it stayed on for the entire journey.

I have tried pressing the clutch and brake pedals to see if the switches are set too close but you have to depress the pedals to switch it off.

Does anyone have any ideas of what it may be or what i can check?

    Thanks

Does it only switch off when going down a hill/long downhill gradient? If so mine does it every now and then. Not sure why.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Is there a switch above the clutch pedal that is not being depressed?

    Default Thanks for replies

    Hi all,

Thanks for your replies. I will look at the switch above the clutch but I doubt that will be it as it switches on ok will last maybe 5 mins then go off.

It doesn't seem to make a difference if i'm driving uphill / down hill. it does sometimes go off if i hit a bump in the road etc.

I don't have any fault codes up at the moment.

Thanks for your responses. If you can help me further i would appreciate it.
