    Default Auto-dimming mirror circuit

Been trying to get the auto- dimming mirror working, but come to a halt; took connector off both the mirror and the other end that goes into fuse box area in the boot, checked continuity between both ends and proved that the ribbon cable is good, however there is no Voltage on any of the pins (only 3 pins on the ribbon)) and also checked each one on the fuse box connector itself (with ignition ON) and no volts there, question is what volts should I be seeing as I expected at least one of the 3 pins to measure 12V and is there a fuse for this circuit as none mentioned in the manual and don't want to take all fuses out to measure as knowing my luck something will have to be Tech2'd afterwards!! any ideas guys?
    Cheers Pete

Couldn't find any mention of a fuse in the handbook or haynes manual, but saw a post from some other guy that had a similar problem and he found fuse No. 27 (in the boot fuse panel)missing and he replaced that and all was well, mine was also missing so fitted one in there, but still doesn't work, also noticed in the manual that this fuse is for: Seat occupancy recognition, tyre pressure monitoring, rain sensor and air conditioning, which is strange as air-con and rain sensor systems worked on mine although this fuse 27 was missing!! just don't understand what's going on.

Thanks for that mate, just gone out and checked orange/yellow light and dimming of mirror now that it's dark and would you believe it the whole damn thing's working now and in the process managed to sort out a wiring diagram and it shows FR27 wired through to XR8 pin 12 as you mention and then to EIS (Electrochromatic Mirror) so it would appear that FR27 being missing was the culprit and can only assume it was never fitted at the factory for some reason!
