Default Turned down an Insignia yesterday!

I was at my dealers yesterday and almost did a deal on a n Insignia 4dr SRi 2.0 CDTi 160 with VXR kit, 20's and leather, bluetooth and black sapphire paint.

I was offered the same figure for my Signum that I paid for it and it came pretty much within budget for my companies opt out scheme!

    But I turned it down!

Because I know what will happen! I'll buy it, then want to sell it when the 2.0 Twin Turbo diesel comes out, and that will be financial suicide!

Vauxhall have been pretty quick to get this problem solved, so you have to give them credit for getting their arse in gear and sorting the problems.

If I did that, I would have a 2.0 CDTi at about 200bhp, the twin turbo will start at 190/195bhp and is much quicker than a mapped single turbo.

Besides, a re-mapped twin turbo diesel is good for 230/240bhp

The Saab 9-3 Ttid's aren't that quick and are only 180bhp, a mapped single turbo one is quicker.... but, hopefully the Insignia's will be like you say though

The Saab 9-3 TTiD in the real world is quicker than a re-mapped Vectra 1.9 CDTi, and thats speaking from experience.

I'll defintely be waiting for the TT if I get an insignia. 2.0 CDTI has barely more hp than the 1.9 CDTI, so may as well wait for the real deal.
    TT should be a corker
