Interesting one, I wonder what happens to the original paint surface should you wish to reverse the process?

That'll be the plain version of what the graphics guys use to decal up stuff like Sky vans - nice job if done properly and it comes off fine (though may need a bit of a polish up afterwards, esp with 'show all marks' black)

Might have a few probs with ANPR guys; "Our records show this is a black car" etc, but since it's basically a temporary sticker that can be removed as and when he'll probably not bother with DVLA.

Quick thought - he could do a 'Cannonball Run 2' intro - only with his Civic instead of the whitewashed Countach, and just unwrap it to get back to black...

with this product being thin, its a right royal pain to get off as it goes brittle and brakes very easily. so its just picking off small bits at a time

Maybe they use stuff that's a bit thicker on the commercials then? Plus it's not into every last nook and cranny - just on the sides and doors. I've seen a Sky van de-vinyled in about 30 mins - although it has to be said they are all white to start off with - small bits may be left over but you'd not notice much until the next wipe down (and who does that with commercials?!)
