    Default Uprated Monroe Shocks

Hello Newbie here with first ever post in this forum ....so be nice!

I have a 2003 signum elegance 2.0T with 34,000 on the clock and I need to replace the rear shocks. (MOT Failure!)
Now I regularly load the car with gear such as amps, speakers etc as i am a singer at the weekends and a full time student in the week, which means I have no money!!!!!!!
had a quote from Kwik Fit to replace shocks but they only mention Monroe and not the type they fit and the guy on the other end of the phone is not the fastest car on the track!
Lots of people in this forum mention the Bilsteins B4 and they sound a good idea but cost constainsts need to be taken into account.
Kwik Fit will replace the pair all in for £114.00, and the cheapest I can get the B4's for is £74.00 from ECP so I either need to fing a garage that will fit these for £40! or I stick with Kwik fit but their website only mentions the 'reflex' as alternatives and it appears that these won't do what I need them to do........So......Over to you guys.....
