    Default DMF Failure

    Further to my previous post

    http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...light=flywheel

I went into the Dealers this morning to book the car in for repair. I asked if they would like to see a demo of the faults but said to bring it in tomorrow and they will diagnose the fault.
Question is if its the DMF and subject to them having the parts how long can I expect to be with out my car, And should I be entitled to a hire car if the work is deemed to be under Warranty ?

They had mine for about a day and a half and that was a replacement clutch too. Not sure about the hire car as my company provided one.

Providing they have the parts it shouldn't be any longer than a couple of days. I think it's down to dealer discretion these days wether a car is provided or not.

DMF and clutch can be done in a day easily. I would've had mine back the same day when I had both done recently if it hadn't been for the fact that the wrong flywheel bolts arrived. Dealer had ordered correctly, the same part number arrived but they were the wrong bolts - turns out it was an error on EPC, so it took another day to suss out what was actually needed and get them sent.

If the work is under warranty then unless it's changed, you're entitled to a courtesy car. You may have to accept that it won't be a Vectra though.
