I would have thought the heating mats would fit any of the vec c seats tbh

If you have the plug under the seat, and as yours is an 03 it's highly likely, then all you need to do is get the heated seat switches (again check that the plug is behind the blank) and fit the heated mats to the seats. There's a How 2 about it I'm sure.

In a nutshell - yes. If you've got the seat plugs there and the plug behind the switch blank then all you need are the switches and the pads. The pads differ for cloth and leather seats. I think the pads for cloth seats give a bit more heat as the cloth is thicker so probably why they are listed for cloth only and not suitable for leather. The pads for leather are also listed as suitable for cloth, so I assume that if they were used on cloth they wouldn't be quite as warm as the ones listed for cloth only.

It was only on the facelifts that people doing the mods (Leeds Vectra) found that the wiring looms in the car weren't there and so he went and got the whole new loom to fit the heated seats.

Not strictly true Duncan. My facelift had the floor loom in place from the dash X plug to the seat base. Yet some other members including Maverick didn't have them. This was on identical models, both of them were SRi's.

Ah right, so what loom was it that you needed to get then? I thought there was some extra loom you needed to do your heated seats mod?
