    Default Black Ice this morning

Did anyone else have some ruthless black ice this morning? It was absolutely mental round our way!

Got up this morning as I had the morning off from work and all I could hear were car's skidding. Went outside and there was this poor woman in a E46 BMW driving up the hill and her rear wheels were just spinning, yet she was sliding backwards down the slope. Thought to myself that she must be one scared woman.

So, I went in to get changed and help her by which she had left her car there and walked home and came back with her husband, who simply gave up and turned it around somehow and went the other way. It was just plain glass and quite frightening to walk on.

Anyway, I though that this could be quite dangerous for novice drivers so thought id grit the road a little, especially as the wife was going out in a bit.

So here's me walking up and down the road with a spade and bucket and nearly breaking my neck half a dozen time, but I managed to grit the T-Junction where the road ends and meets with a school junction and pretty much the area outside my house leading up to the T-junction (approx 50 metre's or so), anything helps.....doesnt it?

Car's carried on driving past and watched me gritting and only one fooooker beeped at me and gave me a and one other woman says "you should'nt be doing this"!

I thought to myself, what a bunch of ungrateful bar stewards....yet I saved there foooking car's, insurance premium's and headache's, etc!

    Good deed you were doing.

The other morning after the high winds I was following a load of cars down the country lane. The lead car suddenly stopped and maanged to squeeze past some branches that had fallen down. The other cars got through and when I could see what it was causing the hold up I stuck my hazards on and got out and moved the branches out of the road. The car behind that had been following me just held their horn down like I did something wrong, could have given me a hand. Some people.

See the think is, i dont actually mind helping some people, whereas other's will simply think **** em! The main reasons's I did it was coz it were a school junction and the fact that it was like a freaking ice rink! Oh well, next time ill put a bucket there for little change and give it to charity!

Popped out to the shop about an hour ago, and had a nice quick sideways moment on the roundabout near our house! Managed to catch it and straighten up! The sun was shining and didn't think that at 2pm there was much to look out for. Looked on the way back and there is black ice/slush on the apex of the roundabout.

    It's cold in Brum.
