    Default Got it home

I can't beleive what is missing from the old one!! I knew some of it but heres a list.

With the colour CD70 sat nav system you only get a single play CD, NCDC1100 got an in dash 4 disc, although the new system is far better.

    No In direct night lighting
No Anti Dazzle Rear View mirror
    No Auto wipers
No air vent in the arm rest for rear passengers
No Sill trims (Although I have fitted VXR ones)

In the boot, the right hand storage compartment is not fitted with a storage section inside, it is just open to the inside of the rear quarter. I am going to question this and get Vauxhall to fit one.

    But the positives

The steering wheel is better, the handling is better, this one is more composed on 19's than the old one on 17's

Interior fit is better round the dash, apart from the bits that have been removed, it is definatly a better put together and complete package than the old one so I am well pleased.

The newer generation F40 gearbox is also very sweet indeed. nowhere as notchy as my old one.

I'll get some pics up after it has stopped raining!!

With the CD70 you can make an mp3 cd. Holds around 120 songs so no need for a multichanger.

Interesting, I was not aware of that until I started reading the book.

I have got a complete mirror assembly with anti dazzle and in direct night lighting. It looks like the loom is there, a friend of mine is looking to see how simple it is to configure.
