    Default check safegaurd

    this warning comes up on computer everytime i start car, any ideas?

    Alarm fault.

    To quote from the handbook - "Safeguard check" :- System error in Vauxhall alarm system. Have cause of fault remedied immediately. We recommend that you consult your Vauxhall Authorised Repairer.

    In short your car needs hooking up to Tech2 to extract the fault codes.

    I get this since the alarm has been disconnected so it uses the horn how do i get this message to go away?

    Have you tried talking nicely to it ............. think I remember some time back (not in your case) someone had knocked or moved the sensor when cleaning or doing a mod in that area ........... hth ..............

    I will try showering it with gifts tonight and see if i can pursuade it to work

    Thinking about it you haven't been anywhere near the loom with a 'Stanley Knife' have you ......

    no mate not this time anyway I will have another check to night and see if it just comes up when unplugged

    Just did a 'search' with 'Check Safeguard' & quite a few things to look for including rear screen hth .....
