Put a 150 CDTI engine in it!

On a serious note, try the K&N Panel filter, makes it a bit more responsive and economical

HERE'S One way, this does make an improvement even if you don't get the air filter straight away, i did this on my 1.8 petrol.
You can do a re-map also, but this does cost but it improves a diesel more so than a petrol lump.

Can u remap the DTI engine??
Also, mod the airbox and fit the shorter air feed from the radiator

aye might have to look into a remap.. will have to see what the gains are though before considering spending that kind of money..

The 2.0DTi and 2.2 DTi are very, very difficult to map. I believe Regal do one, but with mixed results.

They run a 'hybrid' ecu, that basically, most tuners can't crack. Also, the fuel pumps on these cars can be rather fragile, so even though it could be done, it wouldn't be a great idea for longevity. Just to let you know a fuel pump on these cars can be over £1500 and have to be paired to the car via tech 2. This goes for removing one from a scrapper too.

Boxes are available, however, they don't seem to show much in the way of gains, and can be a complete pain to fit, looking for throttle voltage inputs etc.

So all in all, it's not really a viable option. Just enjoy what you've got and pass the others by in the filling station!

Toe it with someting like a Viper?

Thats about as much chance you have on a majour increase.

You will gain small amounts of BHP doing Filter and Airbox Mod.

There is someone with a Box type Chip on here cant remember who but expect to pay about £300 + for 25 BHP ish same with the remap if you take a chance with the glass Fuel Pump!

I never thought I would say this because it P*&T me off when i joined.
'Sell up and buy a CDTI 150' Remap it an race the 2.0T and 3.0 V6's .. He he

    Sorry mate
