Default Different rear brake pad retainer design??

Has anyone come across a different type of retainer for the rear brake pads??

I've had some come from the brake supplier we use, who are ferodo agents.
The retainer on the rear of the pad is different & I questioned this.
They got in touch with ferodo & the old style that clipped into the groove on the piston has been discontinued

    Old style:

    New style:

Has anyone come across this & fitted them???

The design changed to what is in your photo. Confused me as well when I got some new pads a while back and I saw them - thought they'd given me the wrong pads until I looked closer and tried them out.
