    Default Bulb warning light

My bulb warning light is coming on in my Vectra. It is off when I start the car but comes on as soon as I press the brake light. I assumed that I had a brake light out but when I got my wife to press the brake pedal, all were lit.

    Any suggestions welcome

    cheapest things first...

remove the bulbs and have a nose at the fixings then put them back in, that dont seem like anything but its worth a try as dodgy bulb connections can cause the light on the dash

I had that, it is a bulb and all brake lights will appear normal but there will be a blown one.

There are 3 bulbs to do 2 jobs, brake and tail light. Under normal working conditions, 1 runs the brake light and 2 run the tail light. When one bulb blows another bulb takes over. I dare say if you put your tail lights on they wont look exactly the same for about 5m behind the car. HTH

Check all the bulbs, it doesn't seem to know which one most of the time, only that the current has changed and this indicates a blown bulb, hth.

50p says it's the brakelight switch. The check bulb widget checks the brake light switch is working properly too.
