guys was there not a how 2 somewhere on how to change your standard mirriors to the ones with lights?

don't think so mate, you need to see if you've got the loom. You'd have to look under the headling. If it's there they simply plug in. You could just wire them up though to the interior light.

i plan to do the rear light mod this weekend so where do i need to look for the connector?

the wires run along the left hand side of the roof lining. There is a how2, if you have the rear light plug you should also have the vanity mirror plugs. Take your time cutting the hole for the light and use a template. It's really easy to cut with a stanley. I just cut what I thought was a good size and did it too big, had to make a plate but looks ok now.
