Bang - Tree in the road

for me last night
Decided for some reason to go the scenic route to pick my Folks up before we went out.
So i am going down a straight country lane rain is hammering and there are many areas of the road where the rain had left fairly large areas of puddles.
So i slow down to go through them as you do, when leaving test the anchors and accelerate up to around 40 as it was on a straight bit. I then see some headlights in the distance so turn my Full beam off, and the opposing driver does so.
Next thing literally out of now where there is a ****** tree in the middle of the road going across the full length

Damage thankfully is not as bad as you would expect but its literally a kick in the teeth for the car

Hopefully was only a small pesky tree because I keep thinking by tree you mean a great oak tree or something!

Could have been much worse so thankfully your alright and the damage can always be fixed (hopefully cheaply).

No pics of the damage mainly nasty scratches down the drivers side and some light damage to the front

many moons ago when i was 17 and living in kent, i had been camping with a girlfriend, (yes i did, many times) and we ended up falling out for some reason so i took her home and went back for my stuff, on the way home i was a bit ****ed off, and saw this Pheasant (its a bird, like a chicken) running in the road, i thought, ill have that, so i sped up to try and hit it and it ran into some bushes no probs i thought so i went into the bushes as well, then, after about 20 - 30 yards i came to a suden stop, when i lokked up there was a 1.5m wide, 20m high or more prob 200+ year old, old oak tree stuck to the front of my vw golf.
and i didnt even get the Pheasant.

To be brutally honest, you and your car deserved the Oak tree, poor pheasant didn't do anything to you.

Not really gone over the car too much
Bumper isnt brill and there are alot of deep scratches down the drivers side.
Alloys are ok bar being covered in mud from the Verge
