i would go for a turbo one mate as its easyer to get more power out of
or look at the 1.9cdti "150bhp" and get 888 to remap it to 160/200bhp

2.0 T, the 2.2 is a cracking engine, but the 2.0 T is the exact same engine, but sleeved down to 2.0 and has a turbo bolted on, so your on to a winner.

Considering what you can get used Vectra's for, I see no reason to get a 2.2 over the turbo.

On a long run when cruising at say 70mph, the turbo should be better on fuel, as it is a low compression forced induction engine, they are better on juice than a N/A engine when driven normally, or course when you hit the loud pedal mpg will go down, but go for the turbo.

As above, gotta be the 2.0T!! I am biased but Matt did explain it perfectly.

And with the 2.0T you can get a remap and get a huuuuge grin on your face!

    TURBOW!!!!

I know its now been redone, but i had a 2.2 in my Omygoda and it wasn't either economic or punchy, I'd say you'd be better off getting a 3.0 V6 diesel though, both for resale value and economy, or even a 1.9, petrol is yesterdays fuel.

Just thought - that means the 2.2 is also a Saab unit then?
