When I was using the landline for my internet conection. If the phone was in use I could not connect, and Vice versa. Now I am broadband, (Cable) I can use the PC and the Laptop at the same time. How and why I don,t know. Perhaps it is something with the landline set up??. Before I got the broadband I had another landline connected/installed. Then I could use the PC and the children use the other landline for the phone.

I've got Sky broadband through a BT line & it's not uncommon for us to have 4+ devices connected at once + the phone

Try doing an update for your wireless or lan drivers in the device manager set-up mate. Just type in the search box for DEVICE MANAGER then you'll see it in the list of things ie your wireless device then right click it and choose the the option for updating driver. It'll search for the most up to date version of your driver on the net and that should hopefully get it back running for you.

hth as i did this last week for mine and it seems to be ok at the mo.

Does your landline enter your property on the same incoming cable as your broadband? (Virgin (ex Telewest) use twin cables). The two services should be separated from the junction box inside your property out - one cable to the phone the other to broadband (and tv in the case of Virgin). Sounds like your broadband is sharing the same cable as your phone line, which would defeat the object of having broadband. Either that or it's interference or 'crosstalk' of some description.

I think Phil uses a BT landline connection.
