Deisels don't have a dump valve that you can replace. There's a wastegate on the turbo instead. I did put a Bailey on my old TT. It was a subtle whoosh, which I liked, rather that the loud hiss that you're possibly looking for.

all turbo's have wastegates this performs a slightly diff function than a dump valve, but thats a diff matter.

you can put an atmospheric dump valve on a diesel but it has to be controlled via an electrical solenoid and takes its vacum from tthe brake vacum line as diesels to not have the correct vacum in the inlet manifold to open and close a dump valve. its not that hard to fit to a dump valve to a diesel and there are kits available allthough these are expensive. you can make your own by just buying a dumpvalve some vacum hose a micro switch and either a 12v dc solenoid or a 24v ac solenoid (you can normally run ac bits and bobs on a dc supply of roughly half its ac stated supply). you can buy the bits for around £30 as apposed to £100 plus for the kits.

I bought this for my Scooby last week http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog...products_id=99, It was fitted less than 48 hours now on ebay lol they attract too much attention not from fit ladies but from chavs wearing sov's and baseball hats and my motor attracts enough of them as it is imo. On a Vec it might be mocked , dont mean that to sound disrespectfull but if a vec passed me with one on i'd have a chuckle although maybe a quieter one might sound OK.
