Default My dirty then clean Astra!

Gave my car a quick wash today, didnt do anything fancy other than use warm water, turtle wax and a chamois leather! Not much compared to what some people do, but I think it looks OK!

And of course, a picture of my painted V Grille (that I did myself!!) Pretty pleased with the results, but its a little 'orange peely' (not really a problem, but I know its there!) anyone know if some compound/wet n'dry then a good wax would sort it? any advice welcome..

    Peel in the primer?

Im a vehicle painter, you wouldnt have orange peel in the primer if you applied it correctly. Flat first, then use panel wipe to clean the surface completely, prime, flat again, prime again, flat and reprime. make sure the surface is nice and smooth, then give a 1500 abralon over the primer to make sure the paint will stick, the paint away. let it dry propperley, then laquer with a mist coat, dry and mist again, dry and then heavy coat it. when the laquer has cured propperley use a 1500 wet and dry to take off any lumps or orange peel surface. then use a 2000 abralon pad for a final sand down (use it very wet). Then give the part youve just painted a good polish with some G3 (use it wet so you dont buff through the laquer). Then you should have a nice original finish.
