Busted spring

Evening lads, help needed by amateur. I've got a busted front spring so i've been and got a pair of springs, spring mods and drop links and hopefully got the tools to do the job. I've got a plan in my mind, just need you lads to let me know if I'm right and if not then let me know, any help will be appreciated.
Right here we go ;
1. remove the drop links which I can see how to do from the "how to section"
2. remove the shock unit by supporting the hub and undoing the 3 torx bolts on the top of the strut housing, then lowering the unit and undoing the bolts at the bottom of the unit.
3. remove the spring and reassemble by doing the reverse of the above.

Now tell me is it that simple or am I that simple and be gentle.

Thanks lads, it's nice to know what you think is right and yes got the compressors. Now I've got the bottle to get at it.
