Still arrive quicker than a HIDS Direct kit... allegedly.

CoD is good stuff - I'll be looking out for the PC version - have a games-spec laptop w 1900x1220 screen and a 256MB nVidia card which isn't old, although I have heard rumours that the min graphics RAM for full screen 4xanti-aliasing is going to be 512MB...

Bang up to date then! Mine's the older Dell 1705 chassis. Very nice screen - would put many TVs to shame, with possible exception of the Bravia my mum just bought.

I like the 1705, they had one at work to try out, I used to have a Dell 9100 before i got the newer one, could play the latest games on that aswell, only changed because the newer one is a bit thinner...

I looked on play.com but they haven't got a date yet for the PC release of Cod Modern Warfare 2...

Medal of Honor was the choice for WW2 shooters IMO, although I have run Day of Defeat which is a Half-Life mod - you've got to have HL v1 unless you want to get mired up in the Steam system.

For realism, I'm looking forward to Operation Flashpoint 2 - the first version was the only FPS that had enough strategy in it to make it feel 'real' for me - everything else had the names and scenery, but OFP had the AI and variability that got my adrenaline going. Put it this way, all the rest I've just gone in a few times guns blazing to learn where the threats pop up, but OPF was different every time and was the only one where after 2 hours crawling around I was still hook even without firing a shot. It crossed over FPS and RTS, and if/when I got popped it gave me twinges of the same sense of reality as I got RRsing around in Germany in mid-80s w BAOR...

Having said that, I also like the SWAT titles because of the non-lethal take-down aspect - go in like a stormtrooper on that game and you lose.

Yeah totally agree, Operation flashpoint was excellent, i've got OPF2 on preorder aswell, looking forward to it, there was a couple of other PC games i played that were brilliant...
Battlefield 2 was good, the online maps were huge, I love games where you can crawl around and snipe at targets! Conflict desert storm etc were also fairly good..
