Do you not find it strange that your car goes in for a service with no faults, then a few days later at least one fault appears...

My car had new front brake pads and discs in November 2008
It then had a service in December 2008, with a front wheel bearing replacement and rear brake pads replaced
There was then some noise from the rear, which I put down to the new rear brake pads
There is now a horrendous noise from the front at braking, with the front brake pads and discs have been diagnosed as needing replacing, even though there is 5mm of material left on the pads and the discs look in excellent condition
Personally, I think something was upset between the front wheel bearing and rear brake pads!

Get your mot done before your warranty expires! That way any work that needs doing should be covered under warranty!

I accept wear and tear, and I usually become aware of faults as and when they happen, waiting until they are permanent before booking the car in (unless they really are intermittent and annoying! )
Really strange to have a completely silent car, then when it comes back from service it has a lovely metal to metal noise!

Arnold Clark did this before on some warranty work, not completing the brake caliper reassembly correctly and leaving the ABS sensor out of its holder resulting in it snapping and consequently requiring a new caliper (all at their own expense as Retailer Warranties refused to meet the costs), thankfully though not on this Vectra and it was many years ago
