Have you checked your pads mate to see if they are worn?
I had that on mine when i first bought it,stripped down the front pads,cleaned the caliper and smeared copper grease on the back of the pad and on the carrier,stopped my noise and not heard it for 20 months,hth......![]()
Would 100% check the rears. We went through 2 sets of rears to one set of fronts, most strange imo
The Vectra C is well known for burning through rear brake pads
I suspect this is due to the common brake / handbrake design, and is a common issue on other cars with this design
The Vectra B was also well known for burning through the rear brake pads, but that design had separate handbrake shoes and they would last three times as long as the pads
Typical life for rear brake pads is about 2 years or 30K miles
I find my brakes give off a very light grinding noise when I move off when the car has not been used the day before
After a few brake applications it is soon gone
