    Default Vectra Wheel Options

Hi - I know this has been done to death but I'm looking at replacing my 08' plate Vectra SRi 17" wheels with either 18's or 19's. I've read a ton of threads on here and Snowflakes get a few mentions!!

I was looking at a copy of the Vectra & VXR brochures but just wanted to confirm a couple of things - the Snowflakes that keep getting mentioned are these the same VXR wheels that get fitted to Astra's & Vectra's in either 18" or 19"?

Also in the Vectra brochure I see the SRi NAV model with XP has some multi-spoke 18's on it, are the 19" alloys mentioned in the Optional SRi Plus Pack the same multi-spoke just bigger and has anyone got these on a Vectra with some piccies I could have a look at?

And finally I want to stick with VX wheels, is the general view that the Snowflakes look the best, in either 18 or 19? And I take it these are just a straight swap?

    Thanks - J.

You can get snowflakes in 18" (standard VXR alloys) and 19" (optional XP alloys) - the 19" VXR wheels are different, they are like BK999 alloys, like this:

The 18" multi-spokes are what I have (check my profile), they are optional on Vectra Elites (I think) and come on Signums and the new Astra twin tops too, these don't come in 19".

You have several options, I'll try to give you all the details and fitments ect so you have more of an idea.

19" Snowflakes, below is the 19" snowflake, 5 spoke, 8 x 19" ET43 as fitted to SRi and SRi XP cars. Fitted with 235 35 19" tyres. A perfect fit with no modifications required.

19" VXR, again, a 8 x 19" wheel ET43 as fitted as an option on Astra/Zafira and Vectra VXR. Fitted again with 235 35 19" Tyres. Another perfect fitment with no mods required.

18" Snowflake. This is the 18" snowflake as fitted as standard to Astra/Zafira and Vectra VXR. It is an 8 x 18" ET39. Astra and Zafira run 225 40 18" which can be used on Vectra C, but Vectra VXR runs 235 40 18" which is the correct size for Vectra. But will fit directly on.

18" 11 Spoke. This is the 18" 11 spoke, originally an option on SXi/Design/SRi and Elite in 2004/2005. Then on the facelift cars in 2005, it became an option only on Design and Elite Vectra and Signum Elite. It is also standard on Signum Exclusive.

The Vectra/Signum version is 7.5 x 18" ET41 and should run 225 45 18" tyres. But Vauxhall also did two other offset versions, ET37 for fitment to Astra H, and ET45 for fitment to Astra G Coupe. Again you can run the 225 40 18" tyres but 225 45's are the factory size. Astra H ET37 versions can be fitted to Vectra C with no problems, but stay away from the Astra G ET45 versions.

18" Multispoke. This is the 18" multispoke, originally an option on SXi/Design/SRi and Elite in 2004/2005. Then on the facelift cars in 2005, it became an option on Signum Elite only. For 2008 MY, it became standard fitment for Vectra SRi XP2 and option on Signum Elite and for Vectra Elite.

It is a 7.5 x 18" ET41 and you should only find these with 225 45 18" tyres and the Vectra / Signum is the only model in the UK to use these wheels. Again easy fitment with no mods required.

    Hope this helps!

The 19" wheels are not as harsh a ride on facelift cars as they were on pre-facelift. But the VXR 19" wheels are about 1.5kg's lighter than the Snowflake 19" wheels.

Out of interest is there much call for 2nd hand facelift SRi wheels? It seems apparent that the most popular wheel upgrade is to Snowflakes so where do all the old wheels go ... ? Seen a few sets advertised here and on eBay but not that many.

They get sold on but for not alot, best to find an owner who has 16" wheels and wants an upgrade, but many people save them to put back on the car as the 18's or 19's will be worth more.

Thanks - well I like the 19" Snowflakes the best, so I'll keep an eye on here, ebay and any where else that might have some and see what happens.
