hadn't even thought about it mate. I'll see what the respmses are too.
mmmmm - No insurance company as ever asked me have I got leather seats or not when I purchase cover , but maybe they just presume that if your's is for example a 1.8 it will have cloth , if it's a gsi it wil have half leathers and so on .
It would be a very good get out clause for them not to pay up in the event of a claim though mate , need to think about I reckons .
no harm in ringing and asking your said insurance company - i'd hardly say its going to send it sky rocketing.
deffo inform them of everything you have done then at least you know that they can't get out of a claim
Midlands Mod Shop - NFFC.
After the smash last year the first two questions they asked me when I phoned to make a claim were:
1. Has the car been modified?
2. Have you been given any penalty points since you took out the policy?
.
The car was subsequently inspected at the garage by their assessor.
just phoned my insurance company (lloyds). leathers didn't add any additional costs to my policy. at least they know now :
thought i'd declare my alloys too and had to pay an additional £129. and increased my excess to £750!! because i'm under 25.
