    Default Kei force 10 wheels/tyres

Would i have to lower my `02 1.8 sxi which is on 215x55x16 alloys,{standard v/hall} if i was to put on the Kei Force 10s, my motor is sappire black and the Kei`s are black/silver and do not have a mark on them at all and the tyres still have the moulding bobbles on them, i can have them at well below the new price as it`s my daughters boyfriend selling them and he needs the £££££££££`s for their new house, it`s hard being cruel but he needs the money. I don`t want to buy them and see a massive gap between the wheel arch & tyre which would look crap and then have fork out more cash for some decent coil overs etc, the Kei`s are 215x45x17, help!!!!!!!!!

Do you think the gap looks too big now?

If not, then you dont need to lower it as the circumference is almost the same

haven`t put them on as yet but i suppose if i measure my tyre circumferance and then the others it would give a good idea, but with the low profiles on it could still look like a chaffs motor and we don`t want that!

Circumference will be the same. What i meant was do you think your car looks too high off the wheels on the ones you have now?

If they look ok, then there should be no need to lower the car as the new wheels will have the same circumference so will sit the same.

if you think the gap looks too big now, then you will think the same with the new wheels and will want to be lowering it

Mmmm, the gaps look as other xsi`s that ive seen, a couple of inches clearance so i`m going to put them on take the motor for a short run and see how it handles and then stand it on level ground for my decision to buy or not, although they look nice not on anything at the moment, he had them on an astra coupe which was lowered then some nutter ran up the back of him at a junction and wrote it off, only 10 months old, pity

Done the deal, and i`m gonna lower the sus: by 35/40mm, now then my veccy is the 1.8 sxi and its had new shocks & springs fitted by vxl dealers as it was a lease car and they`ve only done 18k, will the shocks take the reduction without any problems as i don`t want to spend more than reqd, and which springs would be recommended? I`ll post pics when the jobs done, should look nice sapphire black/silver 17`s Mmmm
