Thermostat

I was talking with another diesel owner today and i happened to mention that my Veccy takes quite a while before it's up to temp. (i.e. so i can give it beans ) And he reckons that his doesn't take very long at all.

I would say that mine takes about 5-8 mins before it's fully up to temp. Is this normal or is my thermostat buggared?

mine starts to move about 10- 15 miles mate diesels take longer to heat up than petrols even then it moves a millimetre
