Thumbs up treated myself to a new laptop

After my old laptop started to freeze and do funny things like shut itself down ,i treated myself to this one today and as my old laptop was 5 year old.what a difference 5years of technology can make

    so fast so clear

    320 gb harddrive
    4gb memory
a massive screen but yet it is still more compact than the old one.
    i love it.

my brother bought one jim, the 17" screen one in the states last your when the dollar was 2 to 1 ,i saw the same one in the apple shop in town and it was £1900 he got it out there for $1500 which then was around £750

they are great computers but with me traveling around all the time and in aircraft hangers it gets bashed all over the place and i just ould not justify spending that sort of money.

    Same - just bought this,

    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.204-6256.aspx

not too dissimilar to a previous Acer which was over £800. Very impressed so far, and no probs with vista so far either. I normally use a mac - I don't think it's quite that much but they are certainly more expensive, but very good. A macbook would be my next treat.
