    Default cd30mp3 or kenwood ?

Hi guys, in a bit of a dilemma, im thinking of changing the bog standard cd30 in my sri for either the cd30mp3 or the Kenwood dpx303, cant make my mind up ! I like the way the vaux units look in the dash, but im unsure about whether I would notice the sound diff in the Kenwood, considering its going to be 100 quid dearer, also what would I lose on the in car display if I went for the Kenwood, would I be able to set the clock for instance ?

if it's anything like the display in my pre-facelift car, the clock is set with the the stalk controls so the only thing you lose is the bit at the top of the screen which gives you the name of the station you're listening to.

you could go for a jvc double din,you can get them cheaper than the kenwood on ebay, plus i have heard of some reliability issues with the kenwood while doing some research on the net,the jvc also has a display output but i dont know if it will work with canbus cars

cheers guys, if i go for the kenwood, are they easy to fit, are they plug and play ? i know there is a extra lead you have to fit so the steering wheels controls work, also how will i set the clock on the dash? as i believe the only way u can set the clock is via the cd30 unit and not by the steering wheel controls, i have a 57 plate sri 150cdti, is it a full canbus system ?

it is pretty easy to fit mate but you will need a double din facia kit that costs around £40 then the steering controls another £40 odd

I've the DPX503 - great unit, also have the iPod and the Bluetooth modules hooked in, as well as steering controls.

The CD30MP3 is as miserable as the CD30. I had the MP3 version in my Astra, and it realyl left a lot to be desired.

Thumbs down why or why do they still fit CP30 with no MP3

The Title says it all , Why do they still insist on fitting CD30 With NO MP3 .

I`m looking to buy an 2008 SRI CDTI , But looks like i`ll be finding myself looking what radio is in it rather than the car itself..

Come on Vauxhall ..what is the Game and more so What is the Point of NO MP3 in this day and age , unless you get an upgraded one....CD30MP etc..

Am i Peeved off , better things to worry about when buying a car..
