    Default Firm seats

    Hello

I too find the seats too firm, and the lumbar support is too pronounced.

I have however made a few mods to make the driving seat better for me.

It is easy too "undress" the seat from behinde.
Then disconnect the wire to the lumbar support adjustment.
Then "move" the lumbar support backwards whith those plastic straps you use to bundle electric cords.
Then you can use foam rubber, in front of the lumbar support(i.e between the lumbar support and the orginal "foam rubber"), to mould the shape of the backrest.

Now its much better. But I have considered to buy a seat from a chrashed SAAB 9-3 its much more comfortable

I doubt there well be another Vectra for me if they dont change the seats.

That´s sad because otherwise I like the car

    Best regards

I have to agree, but I do think as time goes by both you and the seat will meet in the middle, the firmness is because your botty isn't used to it, but it will tighten up in time and the seat will seem more comfy, I had serious cramp a few days after getting mine, I put it down to my Omega seats being so soft my butt and thigh muscles had relaxed, but after using the Vectra for a few days they had been called back into action, perhaps Vx could market the car as an all in one mobile gym as well.

The seats are fine in my opinion. Last year we 'popped' over to a friends house, and after the journey, neither of us had a single twinge or ache. The journey was three days and 1400 miles to the Algarve by the way!!

I agree with Andrew's SRI, I drove to Le Mans last year for the 24hr, 3 people and full of luggage no complaints. My SXi is 2004.5 my with SRi seats, suspension, bumpers etc. Took a few days when I first bought the car to find ideal seating, comfort position but since then no probs.

Agree with SXi 2.0t and Andrew's SRI !! ... Did a over 600 mile trip when the car were brand new ... and we didnt have any prob. with either bums or backs ... Quite the opposite ... both found the car to be very conf. at longer trips !

One other niggle which nearly put me off buying it was that the steering adjustment doesn't go high enough, I compensated it by pulling it out an inch or so, not the most ideal positioning for me 6ft.2inches tall btw, and i find the cluth pedal is too far away fully depressed, if i move the seat forward another notch I'm squashed, if i move it back, my leg has to stretch to fully depress the pedal.

I have the steering adjustment all the way out ....
Seats lowered max at the rear, and up max at the front ... to give the legs support.
    Im 6.4" by the way.
