In the local rag by us an Insignia...£11999
Have they forgot to paint it? Not fitted the interior in error? Neglected to fit the wheels? Talk about depreciation, that's crazy
cheap cheap cheap
infact i got it wrong....
....its £11795...ffs!
To be fair, these Insignia's at £11/12k are the very base 1.8 models that have a list price of £15999, so take into account a dealers discount and also the FDA offered, which you can guarantee is being included to get this low price, and it's not a case of the Insignia having bad depreciation.
If the same deal was done on an SRi 2.0 CDTi 160 with a list price of £21K, it would be in the region of £16800. But it does not sound as good a deal as the price is still circa £17k.
I rang a certian dealer today that is advertising Insignia's at £12250 on the road, I said I was interested in paying cash and not having any finance, and the dealer said he could not give me the car at £12250 but would let me have it at just over £14K.
The reason? By paying cash he could not offer the FDA (Finance deposit allowance)
So all these low price's are pretty false unless your having finance. Personally I think this is the wrong way of doing things and Vauxhall should put a stop to it.

Im looking forward to seeing these on the 2nd hand market in six months . I would imagine the prices will be very tempting !
all i can say is that when things do stabilise and prices return to their natural state also when vat returns or even increases then cars will be less affordable. Then the insignia will be merc money...lol
Seen one on ebay, 1.8 Exclusiv (Basically a base model) and it was £11.995...dealer was 'Aston vauxhall'
