Up Grade from Cd30 to cd70 navi + Screen?

Im looking to upgrade my cd30 with the basic trip computer screen to the cd70 navi + screen. Can this be done and will all of the functions of the trip computer work?

Your help would be much appreciated.

Think you would need CD70, screen, gps unit and loom plus a load of tech2 sessions,so i think it would cost a bit
Plus you would have to make sure the cd70,screen and gps unit was all from the same car and tech2'd out

Early ones were black and white screens, later were colour.

How much do the stealers charge for a tech 2 session these days?
Im not sure about doing it now im not sure if i can put up with all the hassle. might just stick to the tom tom and maybe upgrade with an after market unit. Not sure auugghh my head hurts.

I changed my CD30 for a CD70
I found a matching used screen and radio from the same car
Went straight in and only needed an added £10 aerial lead from ebay land
As far as I can see the functions all work inc sounds, nav, trip, fault and warnings etc display fine.
Haven't needed to go to the dealers either

btw, if I sell the car I may well be takin it out if it doesnt make the askin
