Default 2.2 16v SRI 53'- Engine temp query....

Hi...Just got a 2.2 SRI 53' with 100,000m on the clock FSH......the engine temp gauge seems to hold round 90deg regardless of driving on the motorway or round town, I did have a 1.8 Elegance before this and the gauge would always be below 80 unless stopped in traffic...the fan cuts in fine.
Is this normal for the 2.2???? any help would be great

Spot on mate, the cooling system is very efficient in the 2.2. And I wouldn't hang around on that chain at 100k.

I think its engines before 04. If its the z22yh it should have 2.2 Direct on the back of the car plus if its a SRI it should have 2 Exhaust exits on the back
yours is a 53 so I think that would be z22se
