    Default Interior Headlight Adjuster

I have a 53 reg Signum. On the dash there is a headlight adjuster that makes the lights move up or down. I tried it and it dosent work.

Anyone know if this is easy to repair? or if it will be expensive.

Silly question, but were the headlights and ignition switched on at the time of you trying?

Also, are you sure your not using the dash illumination by mistake?

just an idea,, if the bulbs are not clipped in properly into their holders, the mechanism in the headlights may foul up..

Had this problem with mine. Turned out there is a nylon ball and socket joint on the adjuster motor that had become detached. Look inside the headlight and if the internal lampholders just flop about the motor needs re-attaching. If required remove motor (just a baynot fitting) attach actuator rod them refit motor. A bit fiddley but a quick cheap fix.

Try them in a quiet place and if the motors are working you will be able to hear them. As Big Dave headlights and ingition on. If no sound from motors, fuse???

LOL yes I was in the car at the time. I was driving down a country lane thinking WTF I cant see a dam thing.

I will have a look tomorrow in the daylight and see if I can actually see anything. I live in a very quiet culdisack so will be able to hear. Its so quiet round here that the cows and sheep in the field behind us keep me awake in the summer months when I leave the bedroom windows open.

    Will let you know later.
