    Default Stealers servicing

Need my 1.9cdti servicing so decided to check out main dealers as it needed some work on warranty (handbrake spring) so enquired. £150 for major service, so I asked whats involved? Oil and filter, fuel filter, air filter and a check allover. Asked about pollen filter "thats extra sir". So needless to say I had handbrake spring done for free and left. Checked local motorfactors for bits as I want to do front discs and pads too, aswell as ebay. Motorfactors discs and pads alone £80 + £70-£80 for rest of bits not bad against dealers though. Ebay discs, pads, oil, fuel pollen air and oil filters, sump washer, flat blade wipers..All in including postage £120 ermmm wonder which i'll go for then. Bearing in mind car has no service history so that doesnt matter and I can keep receipts for proof i've done it. Rant over

Don't know why your ranting they have to pay the mechanics and the workshops £150 isn't a bad price considering you could get a courtesy car thrown in.

No in my local dealer! ******s. However if its £30 difference between doing it yourself and letting them do it, they would be doing it not worth the hassle imo

Make sure you buy original pads and disks from the dealer there a good price for a kit and myself and others have had problems with cheapo brakes, my problem was the pad kept knocking in the caliper when i braked because it was a cheap pattern part. No complaints with the real thing

Took the words right out of my mouth

Genuine discs WILL fit every time, pattern parts not always the case
